From the makers of the Ultimate Defense series, comes this strategy RPG spin off. You begin the game as Kronus, a young aspiring knight, who is asked to aid his grandfather in getting rid of some critters that appeared in his yard. Choose your missions and travel through the land unlocking hidden treasures, engaging in battles, visiting cities. Along the way you will be joined by Kage a mage and Aryana the archer. I was hoping for more but in the end a party of 3 is more than enough. You follow a basic storyline it could be more interesting but it works for the game. For a flash game it does have more story than normal.

For a flash game the graphics are great it uses an isometric camera and the levels are built out of tiles. It all works quite well and resembles all the other tactic type games out there. Some times the graphics would block your views on targets its annoying as you have to basically pixel hunt for the place to click. This didn't ruin the game that much for me though and it shouldn't for you either. I think being able to rotate the map around would take care of this problem. I also loved the music is has a Final Fantasy style to it and while it does repeat a lot its always nice to listen to.

Game play for those who never seen a tactic type game before is all turned based. Each creature can move and take 1 action. Tactics are simple but are still needed as you should really try to plan out ahead what will happen. In this game the monsters don't have much AI as they just try to move closer to you and then attack if possible. Later on I saw what might be a small bit of AI as they all choose to go after my mage and hit him hard. Basically all you need to do is just get Kronus up front to take all the hits and let Aryana and Kage have all the fun. For each hit you gain a small amount of XP and the character who kills a monster gets all the XP. This sucks as you have to start thinking about who really should get the kill to keep all your character close enough in level so one doesn't start lagging behind.

Over all I enjoyed the game it’s a good way to waste 2 to 3 hours of your time if you are bored. I would love to see it expanded on and made into something larger and better. I would also love to see the difficulty raised a bit. At first I believe the recommended levels for missions but they lie you can easily do them when you can access them. Bookmark this game and save it for a rainy day, you won't be disappointed and hopefully when you play the game it will be patched to remove the small bugs.
