Who?

I'm Awol, the owner and editor of Pure Gamer, I'm just a big video game fan and love technology. I run game servers and do some programming. Through running Pure Gamer I have learn some very important lessons. Some about life and others about running a server and hosting a community. 

What?

What is Pure Gamer? Well its many things. First and foremost it is site I run for fun. Its meant to be a small community type website. Its ends up being my test best for ideas an experiment and whatever I feel like at the moment but its all of the above at the same time. Currently and will be in the future a place for users to have their own gaming blogs and a way for fellow gamers to chat and play games with each other.

When?

Pure Gamer has been around in one form or another for since June 1999. Its had its up and downs along the way. It has always been worth it for me since creating it. One day I dream of it being big but currently happy with the state it is now. In fact as long as I have Pure Gamer in one form or another I'm happy.

Where?

Pure Gamer is ran off a server in Northern Virginia. All game servers Pure Gamer runs are located in the same place. Its currently sitting on a 100 Mbit line. I always keep the servers up-to-date and working in top condition.

Why?

Why not? I know the world doesn't need another gaming website but I strive for a small community type of feeling. Sometimes I succeed other times I don't. All in all I have a blast running it. Isn't that the most important thing? Hope you will join the community and have fun doing so.
